Today I’d like to share 3 tips with you that spring from a really important concept that will save you time and money as well as relieving stress whilst helping you achieve the growth goals you have for your business.

You can’t steer a parked car!

We all get stuck in our businesses and lives. We all feel the frustration sometimes of feeling we are not getting anywhere. Of finding it hard to make decisions. Of not being absolutely sure of which way to go.

That’s ok.

But what’s not ok is to stay frozen in place. Too hesitant to make a move because you’re not sure that is the absolutely perfect choice! That sort of inaction will keep you stuck and frustrated.

Tip #1 Realise there is no perfect answer.

That’s why the concept of trial and error came about! Edison himself failed a legendary 10,000 times before he created a successful lightbulb prototype. His attitude was fabulous – “I have not failed 10,000 times, I have simply discovered 10,000 options that do not work”. Imagine if you took that spirit of curiosity and self-support forward into your own business? Taking chances and possibly “failing” would no longer be an issue – success is the result of trying things out until you find the combination that works for you.

Tip #2 Create a list of possibilities

Considering all you have learned and know and been exposed too, from all the study you have done, experiences you have had, programs you have purchased, books you have read and seminars, conferences and workshops you have attended.  It is not a lack of knowledge that is keeping you stuck – it is a lack of clarity on which pieces of the puzzle you will implement! So, starting right now, grab a piece of paper and make a list of say 10 possible ideas for things you could do in your business that would increase your visibility, put you in contact with possibly clients and alliance partners, if those are your goals. Just get them down on paper as a starting point.

Tip #3 Align with your vision

Now comes the fun part! Consider your list. Put it to the intuition test. Which feel right to you? Which ideas feel expansive and exciting to you? Which are likely to take you closer to your vision, your personal Lighthouse that guides you forward. Now just choose one or two and then take inspired action!

Because done is much, much better than perfect and action is the antidote to despair…

Congratulations, you have unstuck yourself!

And there you go…..your car is moving again and you now have your hands back on the wheel and can steer it in the right direction. As you receive feedback on your actions (from your own heart, from the market or from your clients) you will be able to course correct on your journey. Which is what success is really all about – a bit of a cha cha – two steps forward, two steps back. A lot of false starts, detours, and a few dead ends. But always moving, always taking beautifully imperfect action.

And, a little dose of personal reassurance from my own entrepreneurial journey. This is an adventure, a constantly evolving one. It’s not a race and it does not have a definitive, set in stone pathway.

Over the last 10 years I’ve been a Marketing Consultant, a Business Coach, The Self-Worth Mentor and I have now evolved into a Business Mentor and Self-Worth Educator, a position that feels deliciously fabulous to me, aligning all of my business, sales and marketing experience and expertise and passion for personal development into the one spot.

But, if I’d waited until I got the combination right you would have never have had the chance to read a single blog post or watch a single video from me and I would never had had the opportunity to work with all of the fabulous clients I have so far – more than 250 to date!

So go on, test the accelerator yourself, get your own car moving again today….because wholehearted success, however you choose to define for yourself, is never, ever a straight line.
